I was blown away by the quality. By that I mean: a concerted effort to cite sources of information (verbal trackback), the refusal to speculate wildly, and to say when they were speculating. Above all, I appreciated that they consistently avoided demonizing the accused, even as they avoided using his name. It was also clear to me how much the cared about getting the right information out to people in the most balanced and responsible way they could.Ciaran Llachlan Leavitthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03778027944830585690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6213282834400100976.post-81996211607392529252012-07-21T19:17:25.180-04:002012-07-21T19:17:25.180-04:00Thanks! Before I hit the post button last night, I did debate going through and verifying the channel that I was on and the names of the profilers, etc. Ultimately, I wanted to focus on the incident as an anecdote and not put a particular news organization under the gun (also it was late and i'm vacationing at the lake :) ).

24 hours and 13k views later, I think i judged right, but completely understand that you may not have enough information to verify the occurrence. Hopefully, the points that follow the incident can still carry some weight based on your personal experience with the news.

Nice call :) and thank you for the comment.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07049717135527113973noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6213282834400100976.post-62919039663267187002012-07-21T19:03:41.248-04:002012-07-21T19:03:41.248-04:00Loved IT'S NOT NEWS, IT'S FARK.
